WELLSBORO, PA (June 27, 2023) – Last week, Mark Vincent Warner, Director of Government Affairs and Global Marketing at International Designs, the creator and manufacturer of EZTube, joined Amazon’s Public Policy team in meeting with key legislators, Congressional representatives, and Senators in Washington, D.C. on behalf of Amazon’s Seller Advocacy Summit. The primary focus of the summit was to lobby for third party, independent sellers on Amazon’s ecommerce website. During the visit, Mark Warner had the opportunity to meet with government officials, legislators, industry leaders, legislative staff, and decision-makers in Washington, D.C. and advocate for key legislation that would directly benefit small businesses in the Wellsboro, Pennsylvania and Greater Twin Tiers region. “This was an absolutely tremendous experience. I’ve been lobbying for EZTube since 2015, but in the past I’ve focused primarily on defense contracts. It was my first time doing corporate lobbying, and it was really trial by fire going in for Amazon,” Warner stated, adding, “I will say that it was rather amusing meeting with the same faces after all these years and then telling them that I’m here for Amazon this time. Sharing a name with a sitting U.S. Senator always makes things extra fun down there,” Mark quipped with a smirk.

When I lobbied for the first time in 2015 and I told Pat Toomey what EZTube did, his face dropped and he said, ‘I just had no idea that there was a business doing what you’re doing in my constituency,’ so it really does help. They get to hear, firsthand, how their legislation allows us to operate and, by extension, impact the economy of their constituency. This time, I was fortunate to be able to represent Amazon in conjunction with EZTube and explain how such a partnership is crucial for economic growth of this region.”
